The 30-year-old was driving in the municipality of Pöttelsdorf (district of Mattersburg) when his vehicle skidded, crashed into the game fence and then rolled over several times. His 27-year-old passenger was also injured and taken to Eisenstadt hospital, the Burgenland State Police Directorate announced on Sunday.
The driver was thrown from the car in the accident. Despite resuscitation efforts by the emergency services, he died at the scene of the accident.
