The news about an elderly woman who lost her life in Pelion, when the car she was driving fell into a ravine, on Friday night caused a shock.
As reported by thenewspapaer.gr, the victim of the tragedy is a 75-year-old woman, who died when the car she was riding in ended up in a ravine.
The tragic accident occurred when the vehicle driven by the husband of the unfortunate woman, under unexplained circumstances so far, the vehicle veered off its course and ended up in a ravine at the height of the church of Agios Konstantinos.
Forces from the Fire Service immediately rushed to the scene, and managed to extricate the woman from the vehicle, but unfortunately it was already too late, as the 75-year-old woman was pronounced dead by the EKAV rescuers who arrived at the scene.
The local community of Makryrahi is shocked by the news, as the 75-year-old was particularly loved. Investigations by the authorities are continuing to establish the exact causes of the accident.
