The candidates for the Presidency of Venezuela, including Nicolás Maduro and Edmundo González, will close their campaigns this Thursday, July 25, ahead of the elections on Sunday, July 28.
For his part, Maduro will hold his closing ceremony in the centre of Caracas, where he hopes to occupy several avenues. In this sense, he plans to “take over” Caracas “from end to end” for 12 hours.
According to the campaign command, the march for the ruling party will begin in the morning in important neighborhoods of the capital and will end on the emblematic Bolívar Avenue, in the center. However, before that, a rally is planned in Maracaibo.
Meanwhile, Edmundo González, the candidate of the Democratic Unitary Platform, will lead an event in the east of the capital together with the leader María Corina Machado.
The opposition meeting is scheduled for 4:00 pm, and will take place in Las Mercedes.
As for the rest of the candidates, former mayor Daniel Ceballos is planning to make the largest arepa in the world in Petare. Meanwhile, the other candidates will hold small meetings with supporters in different parts of Caracas.
