Real Madrid faced Espanyol today in the 6th day of La Liga. Here are the scores given by our editorial team to the Madrid players.
Courtois : 5.5 – Very little used, the Belgian was forced into error on a cross-shot that was not at all on target. No success for him this evening unlike in recent weeks.
Carvajal: 6 – A decent match from the Spaniard, who was uncompromising defensively and scored the equaliser just before going off due to muscle discomfort.
Tchouaméni : 6 – Converted into the axis for the occasion, the Frenchman managed his match well. There were mainly long balls to negotiate and we know he is solid in the aerial game. Good match.
Military: 7 – A reassuring match from the Brazilian who, thanks to his speed and good reading of the game, was able to cut off or intercept almost all the balls sent behind the defense.
Fran Garcia: 6 – Fran was extremely offensive, he constantly projected himself into his corridor and took his chances from afar in the first half. A powerful shot but pushed away. He had little success in combining with the attackers but remained a permanent solution.
⭐️ Valverde : 8 – The lungs of this Real Madrid team. So much effort, so many recovered balls, so many interceptions… All associated with a technically clean match. Fede is quite simply the most indispensable player for Ancelotti.
Modric : 6.5 – Against weaker opposition, the Croatian did not suffer and was good at building the game. There was more cohesion in Madrid partly thanks to him.
Bellingham : 7 – Almost all of Madrid’s play goes through him and it was he who went to unblock the counter today by scratching a ball in the opponent’s surface before Carvajal pushed it into the back of the net. He was not successful in front of the cages.
Arda Guler: 6 – Starting on the right, the Turk was very active, mobile and accurate during the first half hour of play. He easily found himself with his teammates. He lost his lucidity as the game went on and therefore a few balls, that’s the downside.
Mbappe : 6.5 – Let’s start with the negative: he is still too ineffective in front of the cages. On the other hand, the Frenchman is clearly better with his teammates, we saw him more collective in his choices and he was finally rewarded, even if it was on penalty. A good assist for Vinicius.
Rodrygo : 7.5 – Continuing what we saw earlier in the week and we hope he continues like this. Dribbling and percussion, as he does so well. All this came to fruition with a goal in the second half, on a service from Vinicius. His goal allows Real to go ahead.
It should be noted that Vinicius Junior made an excellent entrance into the game. A goal and a remarkable assist for his compatriot Rodrygo. He is the man of the match with Valverde.
Ancelotti: 7 – He made a turnover and it worked. The team gave itself a scare after Espanyol’s opener but clearly, Real had a really good game at the Bernabéu. And all three forwards scored…
