The piece.

Theater Kauderwelsch takes the audience on an exciting journey through 500 years of German-French, or more precisely, Palatinate-Alsatian history. But the history book remains in the corner. In a wonderfully lively way, the audience delves into the past and reveals true life stories of Driwwe and Hiwwwe. Presented with wonderful choral lightness, we meet wine princesses who are on a protest march. Yes, protesting in high heels is possible. It just takes a little bit of courage.

Of course, in half a millennium, there are heart-warming love stories that are not even buried deep. If you want to find out what these have to do with ‘Driwwe un Hiwwe’, you should definitely not miss the performances!
The ensemble also recites the critically moving and enchantingly witty poems by Masha Kaléko, Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger and Michael Bauer in a theatrical, dance-like, choral and witty way.

Michel Weigel and Peter Broschart, guitarists of XanXGrubb, as well as the clarinetist Jörg Schloß create the musical framework of these moving and humorous scenes.”
