GOLLOG brought together its franchisees from all over Brazil in São Paulo

With the aim of strengthening the relationship with the 119 franchisees spread across the country, GOLLOG, the logistics solutions unit of GOL Linhas Aéreas, held yesterday (19), in São Paulo, the ‘long-awaited’ Franchisees Meeting, an event that had not been held in person since the pandemic.

Under the theme “Upwards GOLLOG – delivering is in our DNA”, the meeting brought together several participants from all over Brazil, who provide cutting-edge services so that the transportation of parcels is carried out quickly, efficiently and safely. In total, there are 59 stores inside TECAS – cargo terminals – and 60 offline stores, located in strategic points of the cities, which facilitates access for Customers who do not want to travel to the airport.

“We are part of a GOL ecosystem.” This was the phrase used by André Cruz, Vice President of Fleet, Supplies and GOLLOG, to kick off the event, emphasizing the importance of bringing together the franchisee network and ensuring not only efficiency and productivity, but also sustainable growth. “GOLLOG’s results contribute to the consolidated results of the GOL group. These are interconnected businesses and you are part of that,” he emphasized.

To illustrate in numbers, according to GOL’s 2Q 2024 financial result, there was a 41% increase in GOLLOG revenue in the first half of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023; in addition to a 39.5% increase in total tons transported in the first half of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.

Given the good results in the area and valuing the efforts of each franchisee, Rafael Martau, GOLLOG Cargo Director, highlighted GOLLOG’s leadership in market share. “The partnership we have with Mercado Livre has brought growth opportunities, but we need to think beyond and go above and beyond. We are the engine of the plane and we have to keep making it take off,” he commented.

Also in the morning, GOLLOG managers met to answer questions sent by the audience and highlighted projections for the franchise area: with a projected expansion of 25%, the area plans to open around 30 stores in the next six months, some of which will be opened between October and December of this year. With an eye on the future, participants received first-hand information about the new Franchise business model and new criteria for opening new stores.

The managers’ panel also highlighted operational safety issues, sales targets achieved, infrastructure improvements and brought news about digital initiatives for the daily lives of franchisees. In partnership with the GOLLabs team, GOL’s technology and innovation unit, many projects are now being developed with the intention of promoting a more agile digital transformation: from updates to the Customer portal, order tracking, quotes, use of WhatsApp, the GOLLOG app and updates to the GIL artificial intelligence chatbot.

The afternoon continued with audience interactions, presentations of results, recognition and internal awards, as well as a talk by Edu Costa, CEO of Loungerie. With more than 180 participants, the Franchisee Meeting was promoted by the Marketing and Communication teams of GOL and GOLLOG, in addition to being sponsored by Mercado Livre, Nexlog and supported by Bodytech.
