‘Changed last name and walks among your children’: Russia’s war freed murderers and rapists

The killers of 34-year-old Irina Sinelnikova from Berdsk (Novosibirsk region), who spent half a year in Ukraine in the ranks of the “Wagner” group, went free.

They served only four years in prison, according to an article published on the website of Radio Svoboda.

One of Maria Nechetnaya from Obninsk in the Kaluga region was at the mercy of the killers even before she was in Ukraine, claims the girl’s mother. Now he has changed his last name.

Dmitry Lebedev, a resident of Ust Kut, previously convicted of sexual violence against a teenage girl, robbery and drug trafficking, returned after serving in the Storm Z squad.

Relatives of the murdered and injured people each time found out about the release of criminals by chance – on social networks or because they stopped receiving the small compensations that the courts awarded to the murderers along with the sentence.

“Is that right?”

I. Sinelnikova’s relatives died in January 2019 – a resident of the Novosibirsk region went to show the car to buyers (the Sinelnikovs had a family business – Konstantin brought cars from Vladivostok, his wife Irina processed their documents and sold them) and disappeared.

Her husband, relatives and hundreds of volunteers searched for the missing woman, and her body was found in a neighboring area a few days later.

The family has two children – a son and a daughter, the youngest was only four at the time.

Novosibirsk

The publication of Radio Svoboda indicates that those responsible for Irina’s murder, as it turned out, had long been planning to rob and kill some car dealer.

They used a taser and a noose. Dmitry Fursov and Stanislav Belousov confessed and were convicted.

The court sentenced D. Fursov to 21 years of imprisonment in a special colony for former police officers, and S. Belousov to 18 years in a strict regime colony.

However, after 4 years, both were released.

“We found out by chance: friends saw one of them in Berdsko’s store. It turned out that both were recruited to Wagner, spent a few months in a special military operation, and that’s it – they came home pardoned.

Tell me, is it fair? They didn’t even serve half of the sentence!”, Svetlana, a relative of the murdered woman, complains.

She published posts about released killers with photos of them and the murdered Irina. He says to warn the rest of the town.

In her opinion, it is impossible to feel safe after the quick release of murderers.

Konstantin, the husband of the murdered Irina, confirms: after a message from friends, he applied to the Federal Penitentiary Service and found out about recruitment and “even payments”.

“One of them was injured and received compensation of 3 million rubles. That’s all they told us, no details,” says Konstantinas.

According to the Radio Svoboda publication, in addition to imprisonment for D. Fursov and S. Belousov, the court ordered the victims, identified as Konstantin and Irina’s brother, to pay 1.5 million each. rubles.

They received small sums from D. Fursov even before the pardon was granted, S. Belousov did not pay a cent of compensation.

The decree of the President of the Russian Federation for their pardon completely canceled their obligation to pay this amount to the relatives of the murdered woman.

“We see that such scoundrels are released everywhere, and people are afraid to speak out, because it is forbidden to criticize the topic of the special military operation,” says Svetlana. – The answer to all our requests is the same: “Everything is legal, because a special military operation is taking place.”

Now Konstantin lives alone with his son and daughter, and his relatives help him.

According to the article published on the website of Radio Svoboda, the pardoned criminals refused to comment – D. Fursov did not respond to the messages, S. Belousov hung up after hearing a question about I. Sinelnikov.

His mother, Alla Belousova, told local reporters that her son was not wounded in the war, but that he “received awards for his service.”

At the same time, S. Belousov’s mother said that she did not know whether he had paid compensation to the victims: “Well, for God’s sake, let others go and fight, and everything will be fine.”

V. Putin’s graces

In 2022 and 2023, Russian President Vladimir Putin pardoned at least 17 people who had previously been convicted of murder.

All of them participated in the war in Ukraine and returned to freedom from the front.

Some have already committed new crimes, the Agency writes.

The return of 23-year-old Vera Pechteleva’s killer from prison made the biggest impact.

Kuzbass resident Vladislav Kaniis, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison for this crime, was pardoned in April 2023 by a decree of V. Putin.

During the investigation, it was established that before killing V. Pechteleva, V. Kanius tortured her for several hours.

Neighbors called the police several times, but they did not come. Five police officers were later given suspended sentences for negligence.

“60 Hit Baseball Bat”

The article of “Radio Svoboda” states that on April 22, 2016, the body of 19-year-old M. Nechetnaya was found in the forest near the Nuclear Energy Institute in Obninsk.

“He was brutally raped and then killed. 60 hits with a baseball bat. Are they people?, – asks the murdered woman’s mother Natalia Nechetnaya. – When they left her, she was still alive, fighting for her life. We had such a hard time finding them. They were searched for 3 years, then the trial lasted almost a year. Each of them was given 19 years.”

N. Nechetnaya is taking a break, although she told hundreds of journalists about it for several years in a row.

The researchers traced the traces of the Korobenkov brothers – Alexander and Vladislav, who were 26 and 24 years old respectively at the time – three years later, after conducting 15,000 examinations and interviewing several thousand residents of Berdsk.

Even in 2019, N. Nechetnaya considered the 19-year prison sentence too lenient.

According to Radio Svoboda, her daughter suffered a fractured skull, facial bones, and broken arms in several places.

During the trial, it turned out that V. Korobenkov also tried to break the girl’s neck, but failed. When the killers saw that Maria was still alive, they intended to cut her throat, but lost the knife.

They then decided to finish off the girl by banging her head against a tree. According to the investigators, the Korobenkos killed the girl for two hours.

In addition to the 19-year prison sentence for each, the district court ordered the Korobenkovs to pay 2 million dollars to the family of the murdered woman. rubles.

“I don’t need this money. Is it possible to estimate the life of my Mashenka at 3 million? But the lawyer convinced me that this payment is some kind of confirmation that the degenerates will not disappear from prison,” explains N. Nechetnaya.

Natalia started ringing alarm bells in October 2022, when she stopped receiving compensation from one of the convicted brothers – V. Korobenkov.

After numerous requests to the Federal Penitentiary Service and the Prosecutor’s Office, N. Nechetnaya was finally informed that her daughter’s killer, V. Korobenkov, “was released from prison in October 2022.”

Although, according to the court’s decision, he should have been in a high-security colony until 2037.

“According to the law, the pardon decree is signed by the president. This is all you need to know about our justice, says N. Nechetnaya. – It turned out that even before he was released from the colony – in October – he was transferred from the strict regime to the general regime without any explanation. And then completely set free to serve Wagner.”

As the parents of the murdered woman found out, V. Putin signed the decree granting pardon to V. Korobenkov even before he was sent to Ukraine.

“I understood this from correspondence with the authorities – it seems that this is the scheme with everyone [užverbuotais] people. This means that they were taken to “Wagner” after the grace was already granted, can you imagine?, – notes N. Nechetnaya.

– After Wagner, his whereabouts are unknown. The bailiffs say, “We can’t find your daughter’s killer.” And the contract with the private military company should have already expired. Unfortunately, he is not among the dead.”

Natalia is afraid not only for her life, but also for other girls.

“During the trial, it turned out that Mashenka was not their first victim. There were other girls, but those who survived somehow retracted their statements. Can you imagine the immediate threat this poses to all the girls and the people around them in general?! Do you think they will change in any way after prison and Wagner? Why should it?, N. Nechetnaya complains.

– And who, in principle, gave the right to pardon for the murder of my girl? He destroyed our family, mocked and killed my child. For this, he must serve at least the term of the strict regime, which was rightly given to him by the court! What right does anyone have to decide to ‘write off’ this debt?”

According to the article published on the website of Radio Svoboda, according to the latest data, V. Korobenkov changed his surname after his release.

“This bastard has changed his name! When did you know? I know because his cousin was looking for V. Korobenkov as Vladislav Chramov in the Wagner chat apps. It seems to have disappeared without a trace. However, the death has not been officially determined,” says N. Nechetnaya.

V. Korobenkov served his sentence in the 4th correctional colony of the Kaluga region, Yevgenijs Tatarincev, who together with his brother Vladimir raped and killed 18-year-old Jana Boltyniuk in the summer of 2014 in Kaluga, sat with him.

The killers burned the victim’s body. J. Tatarintsev, like V. Korobenkov, was recruited to “Wagner”, and after a few months in Ukraine, he returned to Kaluga in May 2023.

“This bastard is on the loose again”

According to human rights defender Alexei Tupitsin, the Irkutsk regional court has removed from the website information about the sentence of Dmitry Lebedev, a prisoner who returned from the war, Radio Svoboda reports.

A resident of Ust Kut has been serving a sentence since 2020 for the exploitation of a minor girl and drug trafficking, and Wagner was released early after serving time.

In 2020, A. Tupicina defended D. Lebedev’s ex-wife and mother-in-law in court when he tried to get custody of his son.

“My son was 6 years old then. He lived alternately with his mother, then with his father. Once he returned from his father with a broken nose, he was afraid of his father like fire. After some time, D. Lebedev began to seek to become his sole guardian, the boy was shaking all over.

In my opinion, he wanted to be considered a single father so that the court would give him a lighter sentence for robbery and drug trafficking,” says A. Tupicinas.

“In the end, he was sentenced to several years for drug and sexual abuse of a teenage girl. He began his sentence, and his son, wife and mother-in-law breathed a sigh of relief. But not for long. He fought in the “Storm Z” squad, which recruited prisoners, and went free.

Now even his sentence is not published publicly on the city court website. This is the “right to rehabilitation”. Now, despite such a past, he can even get a job at a school or kindergarten,” explained the lawyer.

According to the Radio Svoboda article, according to A. Tupitsin’s acquaintances, D. Lebedev now lives in Irkutsk, but regularly comes to Ust-Kuta.

“Friends say that he is “turning something around” again. Believes he continues to deal drugs.

The boy’s mother and grandmother are afraid that this scoundrel, feeling unpunished, will again try to take custody of the child,” says the human rights activist.
