Gypsy Rose Blanchard (33) gave a video on YouTube an update on her pregnancy. The author is expecting her first child with her partner Ken Urker and is now in the second trimester. In the video, she says that her daughter keeps her on her toes in the evenings, especially between 9 and 11 p.m., with her powerful kicks – a “magical experience” for her. Gypsy Rose also revealed that she had encountered some unexpected pregnancy symptoms, including numbness and a slight burning sensation in her thighs when standing for long periods or sleeping on one side.
Gypsy also lets her followers know about her current eating habits and cravings for sweets and fruit. She particularly highlights her new-found love for applesauce. It is something she hardly ever ate before. This preference goes so far that Gypsy Rose always has two packages of applesauce in the fridge, which she cools in a specific way: “I leave applesauce in the freezer for about 30 to 40 minutes so it is ice cold”she explained with a smile.
Gypsy Rose gained notoriety as a survivor of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. She had been manipulated for years by her mentally ill mother to such an extent that she grew up believing she was seriously ill. An internet acquaintance of Gypsy’s murdered her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, in June 2015. The now 33-year-old was sentenced to ten years in prison for her involvement in the murder. She was released on parole in December 2023 after eight years. The documentary “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up” was released in the summer of 2024.
