They seek to consolidate investments to promote river tourism in Ñeembucú

Asuncion, IP Agency.- Representatives of Paraguayan institutions received a proposal from the Brazilian company Mamed Tour to invest in Paso de la Patria, department of Ñeembucú, with a boat with 20 cabins. This initiative would boost tourism in the region and promote the development of catch-and-release sport fishing activities, attracting tourists interested in nature and adventure experiences.

The potential of river tourism in our country was highlighted in a recent meeting held between the head of the Merchant Marine Directorate, Patricio Ortega; for Senatur, Raquel Cardozo; Governor of Ñeembucú, Verónica Salinas and Manoel Coelho, from the Brazilian company.

A further meeting has been scheduled for Monday, September 23, in Paso de la Patria, with the Minister of Tourism of Corrientes, Argentina, Alejandra Eliciri, which will also include the participation of representatives of the Merchant Marine Directorate, Senatur and local and departmental authorities of Ñeembucú.

Cross-border collaboration is emerging as a key element to boost tourism development in the region and attract more visitors to the Paraguayan side.

This project offers an opportunity to revitalize the local economy and diversify Paraguay’s tourism offering, consolidating its position as an attractive destination in the field of river tourism.
