Steps to apply for a loan at the BDV

Visit a branch of the Bank of Venezuela
The first step to apply for a loan is to visit one of the bank’s offices. -
Submit the required documentation
You must bring the following documents with you:- Photocopy of the identity card
- Updated RIF
- Proof of employment
- Income certification signed by a certified public accountant

The bank staff will analyze your credit capacity to determine if you qualify for the loan. -
Credit card reception
If you are approved, you will receive a credit card with a limit of up to $400.
Requirements to obtain a credit card at the BDV
The Banco de Venezuela credit card allows users to make purchases and pay for them in installments of up to 24 months. To apply for it, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be an active BDV client with an account that is at least three months old.
- Have income equivalent to the minimum wage in force in Venezuela.
- Be over 18 years old.
- Have at least six months of seniority or one year of continuous employment.
- If you are a foreigner, you must reside in Venezuela for at least one year.
