Joakim Lundell has clearly set his sights on Hollywood.

But now the filmmaker and YouTuber has regretted it.

– I don’t need to go there, he says in TV4’s “Malou meets”.

Joakim Lundell38, has invested heavily in his film career and has been a producer for two horror films, “Cancelled” and “Feed”. The latter won the audience prize at the Guldbaggegalan 2023.

In previous interviews, Lundell has been clear that he is aiming for Hollywood.

– I want to make a foreign film, in English, get to Hollywood and produce and direct there, that is the goal, he has previously told Aftonbladet.

But now the dream of the USA has cooled, says Joakim Lundell in TV4’s “Malou möter”.

– I had very big thoughts about it, but I feel satisfied. I don’t need to go there. I’ve let it go a little.

“Let’s see where I end up”

Today, he is more open about which paths he will take in his career going forward.

– I’ll see where I end up. The most important thing is that I have fun when I work and that our family is doing well. That is the most important thing, says Lundell.

The YouTuber works closely with his wife Jonna Lundell30, who also guested on the program.

The host Malou von Sivers71, addressed that the couple has been very open and transparent with their lives on social media, both in bright and dark moments.

Over the years, honesty with the fans has been important for the YouTube couple’s own relationship, they say.

– We needed it then and there. We had a very hard time conceiving and I don’t think we would have stayed together if it wasn’t for our followers. Being able to talk about it on our social media helped us a lot, because there were people in the same situation. People who have been through it, says Jonna Lundell.

– It was a relief to talk about it so much and feel that you were not alone. and that made us feel stronger about it and able to get through it.

“Natural step for us”

Joakim Lundell agrees and emphasizes that the couple’s level of openness on social media is at its best now.

– Where we are today, I think the balance is perfect. But it was probably a natural step for us to be able to become adults, to be so open.

“Malou meets” with Joakim Lundell is broadcast Thursday at 8 p.m. on TV4 and TV4 Play.
