Who’s who in “Envidiosa”, the series by Griselda Siciliani produced by Suar, which has just been released on Netflix

It has something of a Polka strip from the early 2000s – it’s no coincidence, since Production is by Adrián Suar-, some modern narrative and a somewhat classic approach in that of having A protagonist who is around 40 and who, having just left long before reaching the altar, decides to rethink herself. And the protagonist of Envious does it envying her friendsof course, without realizing that in the meantime he is discovering what he truly wants from his life.

Griselda Siciliani and Esteban Lamothe star in “Envidiosa,” the new Netflix series premiering on September 18.

Between jealousy and envy, Vicky is trapped in a suffocating labyrinth from which she begins to emerge almost without realizing it and with a lot of humor, acid humor, which this story draws on.

Carolina (Pilar Gamboa)

Barbara Lombardo (Melina), Pilar Gamboa (Caro), Griselda (Vicky) and Marina Bellati (Debbie), the group of friends.

She is part of her select and active group of friends, which Vicky is already starting to look at with a mix of admiration and envy.because they feel that they have achieved things that she has a hard time achieving. And even more so since she is “alone.” Carolina is one of her pillars, perhaps the one who tolerates her the most, although Vicky becomes unbearable more and more often..

Matias (Esteban Lamothe)

Matias and Vicky.

Good old Matías is his friend, his neighbor, his best ear.the one who is always there, despite Vicky herself. He did not seem to be a central character for her, but when Victoria enters into a sort of existential crisis, the neighbor opens the door to his soul. Everything indicates that even though they are friends, they feel different things for each other.. Or not so much?

He is always there for her and there is a jostling that no one knows (at first) how it will end (later on, we do know). Matías does not meet the conditions of the prince that Vicky built in her headbut something makes her take refuge in his arms often. The bond between them is one of the best in the series that marks Siciliani’s return to streaming, produced by Adrián Suar, her ex, father of her daughter (Margarita).

Daniel (Martin Garabal)

Vicky & Daniel, the couple that once was.

The actor and stand-up comedian – who shines in the series Palermo Division with a hilarious character – Martín Garabal plays Dany Oribe, Vicky’s brand new ex-boyfriend, who avoids formal relationships. And at his girlfriend’s insistence, he takes another path, but every now and then he retraces it, adding more confusion to the story (and, especially, to Victoria’s mind). Thus, Daniel’s new and old girlfriends put him in and out of the romantic scene permanently.

Nicholas (Benjamin Vicuña)

Vicuña, in the role of Vicky’s boss (Siciliani).

The Chilean actor, who has already worked on television with Siciliani (in Fakers) and now he does it in theater, with Congratulationscomposes to Nicolas, her arrogant boss whom she believes she is in love with.

The cast is completed with Violeta Urtizberea, Barbara Lombardo, Leonora Balcarce, Susana Pampin, Marina Bellati and Adrian Lakerman.
