Dynamic was the pre-election event of Michalis Katrinis in Patras. On the way to the October 6 internal party elections, the Ilios politician chose to be the first candidate to hold a large pre-election rally in the capital of Achaia.
On the pedestrian street of Trion Navarchon in front of the TEE of Western Greece, Mr. Katrinis appeared quite optimistic and in the mood for a “break”. Speaking to pelop.gr, the candidate President emphasized:
“In Patras and democratic Achaia, in the homeland of Papandreou, the universal demand for a great democratic faction is even stronger. It is the choice of rupture and hope, the prospect of a faction meeting again with the great majority. We do not compromise with small and medium percentages and we do not discuss any possibility of joint government with the New Democracy”.
A few hours later, Mr. Katrinis, speaking to the large audience that had gathered in Trion Navarchon, spoke of extra-institutional centers that try to manipulate the internal party elections. He said among other things:
“PASOK is here, united, strong and determined to move forward the next day. You all know that there are extra-institutional centers that try to manipulate the elections in PASOK. I have been targeted by these centers because I am a provincial MP. I’m not a prince, nor a chosen one of big financial interests, because either as president of the Parliamentary group, or as a Parliamentary Representative, I unyieldingly faced these interests and the cartels that are ravaging the country and the economy at the expense of the citizens.”
The remarkable thing about the event was that even people who are known to be on the side of other candidates were present at Michalis Katrinis’ event, not only because they have a friendly relationship with the candidate president, but also to prove in practice that the end of the internal party elections will find the party executives united.
