In India, the government has started an investigation into the death of a young woman due to work pressure from the company.

After the death of a 26-year-old employee of the famous company Ernst & Young (EY), her mother revealed that her daughter passed away due to extreme workload and work pressure.

Chartered Accountant Anna Sebastián was hired in March 2024 at Pirale and EY.

Later, the EY Company responded to the letter of Ana Sebastian’s mother, Anita Augustine, in which she condoled the girl’s death and expressed her grief over Ana’s death.

The company admitted that Anna was a member of EY Global Company in Pune and part of the audit team at SR Batliboi. The company clarified that we are very concerned about the welfare of our employees and will continue our efforts to provide them with a healthy environment in the future.
