According to the publication, the changes to benefits will bring increases from 1/1/2025 to 1,200,000 beneficiaries, while the 20% discount on income that will now be taken into account will result in those who would have lost it until now also getting a benefit.
Extraordinary aid to beneficiaries
At the same time, until the end of the year, extraordinary subsidies of 140 to 840 euros or combined up to 910 euros will be given for the Minimum Guaranteed Income and housing.
The specific benefits, according to Apogeumatini, are to be paid by EFKA and OPEKA before Christmas, so that by the end of the year the system will be ready for the payment of the new increased benefits and pensions for January.
For example:
- A family with two children, classified as vulnerable, can receive child benefit of €168 and €425 from the additional proportion of the Guaranteed Minimum Income to a total of €593.
- Another family with three children will receive 560 euros and 350 euros housing allowance.
