What is the rubber ball?

The rubber ballaffectionately known as popular baseball, has long been a symbol rooted in the childhood of many Venezuelans. It is this attachment to roots that prompted podcasters Jhon Da Silva and Juan Carlos Martínez to take on the challenge of bringing back this custom through the tournament.

The event is inspired by the Kings League format, so the competition is played with a modified set of rules that are designed to make the matches more entertaining and exciting.

Games consist of five innings and each game ends after three outs, as in traditional baseball. If the score is tied in the fifth inning, the game goes to sudden death extra innings.

Jhonn Da Silva, one of the organizers of the rubber ball tournament, explained to He Diary that the key to achieving the popularity of this proposal lies in the careful selection of team leaders because they have significant weight in the area of audiences and influence.
