The clubs outside today’s elite football that once played in the Allsvenskan received their anniversary balls this summer.

In view of the 100th anniversary of the Allsvenskan this summer, Swedish Elite Football is handing out commemorative balls to all 67 clubs that once played in the Allsvenskan. The clubs that today play in the Allsvenskan or Superettan were recognized in connection with the anniversary rounds in the Allsvenskan and Superettan in mid-August, while the 37 clubs that today do not belong to elite football receive the balls via personal visits to their hometowns.

During the summer, the clubs in Dalsland, Bohuslän and Västergötland, which today are outside elite football and which once played in the Allsvenskan, received their anniversary balls.

Billingsfors I:
In 1946/1947, Billingsfors played its only season in the Allsvenskan. There, the club made history by becoming the only club to play in the Allsvenskan without winning a single match. Billingsfors is therefore last in the marathon table. Since 2021, the club is without a senior team.

IFK Uddevalla:
IFK Uddevalla was formed in 1905 and played two seasons in the Allsvenskan in 1925/1926 and 1926/1927. In the premiere year, they finished tenth in the series, but the following year it was a jumbo place and relegation. Today, IFK Uddevalla plays in Division 4.

Ljungskile SK:
The club, which was founded in 1926, has two seasons in the Allsvenskan on its conscience. Between 1990 and 1997, Ljungskile SK climbed from Division 5 to Allsvenskan. The first season in the Allsvenskan ended with relegation back to the Superettan. In 2008 they were back again but went out again, this time via qualifiers against IF Brommapojkarna. Today Ljungskile SK plays in Ettan Södra.

Norrby IF:
The Borås club Norrby IF was founded in 1927. The club played one season in the Allsvenskan, in 1956. There they had everything in their own hands before the last match at home against Västerås SK. However, Norrby lost and fell out of the Allsvenskan. However, the club has 31 seasons in the country’s second highest league and has produced a number of great Allsvenskan players, including national team players. Today Norrby IF plays in Ettan Södra.

IF Elfsborg and IK Oddevold are also included in the mentioned regions and received their anniversary balls in connection with the anniversary rounds in the Allsvenskan and Superettan.
