San Kamphaeng District Public Health Office Big Cleaning Day campaigns to destroy breeding grounds for Aedes mosquitoes.

San Kamphaeng Subdistrict Health Office, Chiang Mai, organized a Big Cleaning Day campaign to destroy mosquito breeding grounds in the entire district to prevent dengue fever and heavy rain.

On September 20, 2024, at 08.30 onwards, Mr. Phinyo Puasriphan, the District Chief of San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai Province, assigned Mr. Niran Boonkerd, the Public Health Officer of San Kamphaeng District, to reveal that along with the village headmen, village headmen of all 10 sub-districts, 100 villages, local administrative organizations, both municipalities, sub-district administrative organizations, government agencies, schools, all sub-district health promotion hospitals, 11 locations, and village health volunteers of all 10 sub-districts, 100 villages, they will jointly organize the Big Cleaning Day activity to campaign to eliminate breeding sites of Aedes mosquitoes in the villages, government offices, schools, and religious sites in every village in the district at the same time to prevent dengue fever, chikungunya fever, and Zika fever for the people of San Kamphaeng District. They will also distribute “Abate Sand Granules”, “sand to eliminate Aedes mosquito larvae”, or “chemiphos sand”. As for the situation of dengue fever, San Kamphaeng District found 171 patients in every sub-district, with no reports of deaths. Therefore, a campaign to prevent it for safety will continue.
