The dates for the schedule remain as they are, according to the previous decision of the Political Secretariat. On October 19-20, delegates will be elected for the extraordinary Congress which will be held November 1-3. The leader election will take place on 24-11 and 1-12.
The date for filing nominations and accompanying signatures will be decided by Saturday’s Central Committee. Each member of the KE can sign for more than one candidate president.
SYRIZA: Ragousi-Tzakri frontal conflict
According to information, the “thermometer” of the confrontation hit “red” several times during the meeting of the governing body. The tension between Theodora Tzakri and Yiannis Ragousis is indicative, with both sides exchanging “sharp” characterizations.
Yiannis Ragousis spoke about “Theodora Tzakri’s allegation of political cowardice” in his appointment to the Political Secretariat. At the same time, referring to Ms. Tzakri’s tenure at the Ministry of the Interior, he noted that “the only time I had to clash with T. Tzakri during our joint stay at the Ministry of the Interior was when I was obliged as Minister to stop her from signing scandalous decisions that they would harm the public interest, they would constitute a waste of public money, as well as they would seriously damage the public image of the government at the time.”
Specifically, in his submission he stated:

Earlier, Theodora Tzakri launched an attack on Yiannis Ragousis through her statement during the meeting of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA, even calling on him to take recourse to Justice against her.
Ms. Tzakri’s statement was indicative of the climate in which the meeting was held following a series of complaints among party officials about bullying.
The MP and member of the Political Secretariat of the official opposition party states that “the issues of personal honor are not brought together and are not offset between unrelated and dissimilar cases. The “look who’s talking!” it concerns him and does not constitute an indirect position of mine regarding the complaints of third parties”.
“The cannibalistic political climate gives the opportunity for extras to arbitrarily turn into protagonists, dropping the political level to Tartarus. Theodora Tzakri also mentions: “What is the presence and personality of each one is known to everyone in our small place, so there is no secret under the sun! How much more so when there are other ladies who suffered similar treatment, for example in front of the entire Political Secretariat six months ago” and he emphasizes: “With Mr. Ragousis, bad luck brought me to “mess up” twice already! In PASOK earlier and in SYRIZA more recently. Our meeting together for the third time is obviously not planned, so we probably get out of the way. So I call on him to take legal action against me.”
“I assure you that when that time comes, I will not need anyone’s permission to reveal our communications. Nor will I need expansive interpretations of the term. They will testify a number of eyewitnesses and hearsay witnesses about numerous incidents of bullying against me, always on the occasion of my political activity when the gentleman in question had the role of political leader, but also against other comrades and comrades in the last period. I don’t know if this obsession of his shows that he doesn’t understand the continuous decline or if it’s just that the soul of the person comes out first and then his hui,” she concludes in her statement.
It is recalled that on Thursday morning (19/9) Theodora Tzakris’ report to Yannis Ragousis, according to which “Mr. Ragousis talking about bullying is beyond me, he knows”, triggered his reaction, with him he answers in high tones: “I challenge her and demand: to say publicly what she means. There is no way to substantiate what he says. She will be faced with partisan and legal consequences.”

Olga Gerovasili called the leaks that she insists on the establishment of “pothen esshes” in order to put obstacles in the possible candidacy of Stefanos Kasselakis as “fabricated and false”.
Ms. Gerovasili, informed that such leaks were released to the media, came out of the ongoing meeting of the Political Secretariat of SYRIZA and informed the journalists that “what has been leaked is fabricated and false and constitutes a conscious sabotage of the process”.
He clarified that in today’s Political Secretariat he did not talk about “where you belong”, as leaked to some sites and added that all he asked was “if we will open the issue of conditions for the leadership or if we will close it so that it does not drag on”.
