UNIVERSITIES need to optimize the potential of new students so that they can become agents of change early on when they enter society.
“This is a challenge for universities on how to foster the spirit and potential of new students at the beginning of their studies. So, from the beginning, their spirit and potential must be fostered,” said Vice Chancellor II for Non-Academic Affairs of BSI University Suharyanto at the BSI Convention Center, Bekasi, Wednesday (18/9).
He said that one of the efforts to foster enthusiasm and potential in new students at the beginning of their studies could be through motivational seminars attended by new students.
“But remember, this motivational seminar is not just about a seminar. This is the first step for students to find their identity, become agents of change, and in the future bring light to the world,” he explained.
BSI University, he said, will hold a 2024 motivational seminar with the theme Bring Light to the World, at the BSI Convention Center, Kaliabang, Bekasi, on Sunday (22/9). “This is also an inspiring event for our new students,” he said.
The reason is, the 2024 motivational seminar series is also filled with various interesting activities starting from the paper mob configuration, namely new students are involved in a spectacular collaborative visual performance.

“Up to inspirational seminars featuring renowned speakers to motivate students to become individuals who are able to illuminate the lives of others,” he explained.
In addition, Suharyanto added, there will be a thematic seminar discussing the important role of technology and humanity in contributing positively to the global community, as well as the Expo student organization, which allows new students to explore communities and organizations at BSI University. Also, exciting entertainment and a creative bazaar.
“All these activities are designed to inspire and guide new students to be ready to face an increasingly complex world with enthusiasm and strong determination,” he added.
He hopes that through the motivational seminar, students will be able to go through their studies smoothly and make achievements. (H-2)
