Batista: ‘I haven’t reached the peak of my career as an actor’ – Solowrestling

Dave Bautista, known for his career as a professional wrestler in WWE under the name Batistahas expanded his career in the entertainment world, mainly as an actor, but has also begun to venture into the field of film production.

The former world champion was interviewed a few days ago by Chris Van Vliet, where he spoke about his career in professional wrestling and his future as an actor. Regarding the latter, Batista He said he does not feel at the top of his career and explained why he has decided to become a produceras well as continuing to work to direct films in the future.

“I’m not at the top. I know for sure that I’m not at the top. “I don’t think that if you get to the top, you get complacent or maybe you see another mountain. That’s how I’ve run my career. When I do something that I love, I put everything into it, but it always leads me to something else. It leads me to another path. So even if you feel like you might be at the top of something, I guarantee it’s going to lead you to something else. I was just an actor, I wanted to be an actor, and I wanted to be the best actor I could be, and I still want that. I still have that need to prove it,” Batista said.

“I’m not in the awards talks. I don’t care about awards. The accolades don’t mean that much to me. But I want to hear people talk about me in that sense. I want to be in those conversations. I don’t need a trophy. I want to be in those conversations where people appreciate my work.”

“I also wanted to be involved in the creative process. I wanted to have a say in my characters and story arcs, everything. That led me into producing. I was always acting to pay the bills and I wanted to produce, but because I was always so busy acting, I couldn’t contribute as much as a producer because I was busy and I was letting people down. So the solution was to start my own production company and hire people to fill in for me when I wasn’t available. Now I want my company to succeed and there are people who depend on me. When you start employing people, it’s a totally different game.and people count on you to provide them with a livelihood. It’s a different kind of pressure.”

While he is most recognized as an actor for his roles in major films like “Guardians of the Galaxy” and other franchises like “Dune” and “Blade Runner 2049,” Batista has also worked behind the scenes as a producer. In 2020, he executive produced the action film “My Spy,” in which he also starred in the lead role. Through his production company, Dream Bros Entertainment, Bautista has shown an interest in having more creative control in the projects he is involved with.
