The Union of Train Drivers will proceed with a series of mobilizations in September and October with a view to securing rail traffic and the operation of basic safety systems. Thus, the Council of the Panhellenic Union of Traction Personnel (PEPE) during the meeting it held on Saturday (14/09) decided the program of the mobilizations, which is as follows:
September 24, 2024: Work stoppage from 6 pm until the end of the shift.
October 10, 2024: 24-hour strike.
A new 24-hour strike is also expected on a date that PEPE will propose to be decided jointly by the Hellenic Train Employee Unions.

In the announcement it is noted that the main demand of the train drivers is to ensure the railway traffic, the operation of basic safety systems, etc.
According to PEPE, “the political leadership of the Ministry of Transport has not responded to our requests (for months) for a meeting. The new management of Hellenic Train is watching with apathy – which seriously worries us – the dissolution, while it WRONGLY invoked the General Traffic Regulation for the incident in Sepolia, KNOWING that it was NOT observed since the driver of 1210 was also given model 1001 upon his departure! The collision was avoided due to the attention of the two train drivers!
