The first concert of the new period of the “Polyphonic” Organization was held with great success, last Sunday, in the courtyard of Skagiopoulio, under the auspices of the Holy Metropolis of Patras and with the general title “Four eyes two hearts”, in the presence of a large audience.
It was a music and dance event, a tribute to Smyrna and the City, on the occasion of the commemoration anniversary of the 1922 disaster.
The Orchestra and the newly formed Choir of traditional music “ELIODORIA” of the Organization took part, under the direction of the professor of traditional music of the “POLYFONIKIS” CONSERVATORY, Yiannis Panagiotopoulos, who was also in charge of the whole event and in collaboration with the folklore and historical Association of our city “Moraites en choro” (President and dance teacher, Spyros Tsokanas).
The texts of the performance were edited by Panagiotis Papadopoulos, a member of the Association “Moraites en choro”, while the program was presented by the Secretary of the Organization, Athanasia Papastavrou.
