As part of the international Alopecia Awareness Month The event created a platform for exchange, networking and empowerment. As early as 12 noon, the location was filled with a diverse group of participants. Some wore wigs, others proudly showed off their bald heads. “The most important accessory of the day, however, was the smile and the open-minded atmosphere,” emphasized Janin Baumann, Chairwoman of the Austrian Hair Loss AssociationIn a relaxed atmosphere, intensive discussions and inspiring encounters took place, creating new friendships and networks.

Raising awareness at Lake Wörthersee

The official launch took place at 1 p.m.: The founders of the Hair Loss Austria association presented their vision and invited people to join. Peter Fuchs, Managing Director of Headdress Austriafurther explained the hair cycle, the hair growth phases and the importance of scalp care. The company CL Lab then introduced itself.

Baumann sums up: “The first Alopecia Awareness Day Austria was a complete success! A day that not only raised awareness of hair loss of all kinds, but also boosted the self-confidence of those affected.” The next Alopecia Awareness Day will take place on October 27, 2025. Until then, smaller meetings will be organized in the various federal states to continue to promote exchange and support.
