One of the most innovative bands of the domestic scene flooded the evening of Friday, September 6 with unique musical sounds the ““Old Slaughterhouses” of Patras, where, as part of the International Festival, the “Common Mortals” were hosted, who put their own special stamp on this year’s events of the institution.
The beloved group from Aliveri, Evia, married fast rhythms and musical instruments in a mix of sounds of a storming full band, who rapped and traveled the audience from Greek traditional music, to rock and hip-hop.
The evening of Parasekii music became a means of inspiration for a better world, with the eight-member band highlighting, through its humanitarian awakening lyrics, the impasses of a system that constantly blinds, unfairly and conceals…
In the “Old Slaughterhouses”.” of Patras heard music that has many influences without having labels, since the members of the group showed in practice why they do not accept labels and their classification in a certain musical genre.
“Common Mortals” and on their trip to Patras they demonstrated the reason why their art is their voice and their pen the force that pushes them to continue creating social reflection, expressing the “flaws of the times” as “They don’t make a fuss”.
They gave the “signal” for a diverse audience to dance for the times to change, declaring also musically that “They don’t believe that art will change the world, but that with art as an ally, the change of the world gains rhythm”.
The concert used physical instruments such as guitars, bass, drums, trumpet, baglama, accordion and keyboards. They inspire and ignite and invite the audience to join their voice with them.
The event was attended by the deputy mayor of Culture Apostolis Angelis, municipal and district councilors.
