According to the CTD spokesperson, 475 operations will be conducted based on intelligence reports in different districts of Punjab, during which a total of 33 suspects including the dangerous alleged terrorists of Daesh and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar were arrested.
The other accused are also said to belong to various banned organizations.
The statement added that five kg of explosives, two hand grenades, two IEDs, 26 detonators, 73 feet of protective fuse wire, four 30 bore pistols and 19 bullets, 17 pamphlets of banned organization were recovered from the possession of the terrorists. Seven banned magazines, 15 banned books, 121 pamphlets, 156 stickers, two mobile phones and one lakh rupees in cash were also recovered.
Regarding the operations carried out in Lahore, Gujranwala, Mianwali, Bahawalpur, Nankana Sahib, Hafizabad, Rahim Yar Khan and Bhakkar, the CTD said in its statement that these terrorists have created fear among the public by carrying out operations at various places. According to CTD spokesman, 32 FIRs have been registered against these arrested accused and further investigation is going on.
