Directing this film adaptation has been an exciting challenge and a deeply personal journey that has led me to explore my own connections with the ghosts of previous generations of my family, just as Juan Preciado did when he came to Comala in search of his father, a man named Pedro Páramo,” said Rodrigo Prieto in a statement.
The film also features the work of Mateo Gil on the script; the production design was by Eugenio Caballero and Carlos Y. Jacques; Prieto and Nico Aguilar did the photography; the costume design is by Anna Terrazas; the original music is by Gustavo Santaolalla; and the musical supervision is by Leonardo Heiblum.
