Dynamo Puerto FC and Anzoátegui FC dropped positions in the Central-Eastern Group of the Futve 2 League, after their respective commitments corresponding to matchday 20 of the tournament.

The “Buffalos” fell 1-0 to AIFI de Guayana at the Francisco Massiani stadium in Puerto La Cruz. They remain with 33 points although they lost the lead in their zone, which is again in the hands of Marítimo de La Guaira, which reached 36 after beating Atlético La Cruz.

For its part, Anzoátegui drew 1-1 in its visit to Bolívar SC, but dropped from third to fourth place in the table. Despite having the same 31 points as Deportivo Miranda, the team led by Juvencio “Teto” Betancourt occupies the last position that gives access to the next round due to goal difference.

Gray Day

For both teams based in the northern part of the state of Anzoátegui, it was a grey day in the second division of national football.

The team led by “Teto” Betancourt could not go beyond a draw, despite having started winning the match early. Giovanni Dolgetta put the Anzoatiguenses ahead in the 3rd minute, but in the 52nd minute Romer Rojas equalized the score.

The points were shared at the Dean’s Office of the Universidad de Oriente (UDO) in the state of Bolívar. Now Anzoátegui has eight victories, seven draws and four defeats, for the 31 points with which they remain in fourth place.

For its part, Dynamo could not recover from a goal by striker William Arismendi in the 20th minute and added its sixth defeat in the Liga Futve 2 2024. With this, they leave their balance at 10 victories, three agreements and six stumbles for the 33 countable that place them second.
