Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Health delivered medical equipment to the General Hospital of Barrio Obrero, in order to guarantee excellent care and accurate diagnosis to users.
The delivery was made through the Directorate of the National Cardiovascular Prevention Program, which delivered medical equipment to the General Hospital of Barrio Obrero, from the Project for the Reduction of the Incidence and Mortality associated with HIV, financed by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The equipment will be used in the Medical Clinic and Cardiology services, in order to guarantee excellent care and accurate diagnosis to users.
The goods received are: an automatic external defibrillator (AED) with its respective accessories, as well as two ambulatory blood pressure monitoring devices (MAPA).
An automated external defibrillator is a portable electronic device that diagnoses and can help restore a person’s heart rhythm when they are in cardiac arrest.
Blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) is a test that aims to measure a patient’s blood pressure periodically, outside of the medical-hospital context, over a programmable period of time, generally for 24 hours.
