In the United Arab Emirates a small number of people developed symptoms related to contaminated water after the floods.
The announcement, carried by the state news agency late yesterday, did not say the exact number of people affected or what kind of treatment they received.
There have been “a very limited number of cases that showed some symptoms indicating that they were affected by the impure water” and were taken to hospital, the ministry said. He did not specify what exactly had contaminated the water.
According to the protothema, the UAE were hit by record rainfall on April 16, resulting in some neighborhoods in the Dubai and other cities to be flooded.
Four people died on floods these.
