The Grudziądz – Toruń rail connection is back. Check when the first train will leave

This is part of the railway line no. 208 Toruń Wschodni – Malbork. The weather breakdown and heavy rains on June 28 caused the tracks to be washed out on a section of about 50 m. A replacement bus service was introduced on the route.

At the request of PLK, employees of Pomorskie Przedsiębiorstwo Mechaniczno-Torowe rebuilt the embankment, on which sleepers and tracks were laid. Additional track drainage was also carried out to prevent similar incidents in the future. In accordance with earlier announcements, the work was carried out within two months.

The resumption of services on the entire Grudziądz – Malbork route was preceded by technical tests.

These trains will run through the cross-city tunnel. They cost almost PLN 350 million!
