THE NasDem party believes that former Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan will remain in the hearts of the people even though he is not a contestant in the 2024 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada). Anies is also believed to still love the NasDem Party.
“But I think Anies is still in the hearts of the people, still loved by NasDem,” said Secretary General (Sekjen) of the NasDem Party Hermawi Taslim at the NasDem Tower, Jakarta, in a statement quoted on Saturday (31/8/2024).
The relationship between Anies and NasDem is still good even though the former presidential candidate number 01 did not run in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“Four days ago we were still having lunch here, it was still okay. We as relatives are still fine,” said Taslim.
When asked whether or not NasDem plans to make Anies a cadre, Taslim spoke about track record. Anies has proven capable of carrying out duties in previous public offices, despite not being a cadre of a political party (parpol).
“Mr. Anies is like a person playing cards, his cards never die, why? Because he is already in the hearts of the people. Some of the people know how to treat Mr. Anies and that is his investment as a politician, in my opinion,” said Taslim. (Fah/P-3)
