After 48 hours.. The Israeli army withdraws from Tulkarm and its two camps

Palestine – The Israeli army withdrew yesterday, Thursday, from the city of Tulkarm and its two camps in the northern occupied West Bank after a military operation that lasted 48 hours and left 4 Palestinian dead.

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that “the Israeli army withdrew from the city of Tulkarm and its two camps after a military operation that left 4 martyrs, a number of injuries, and significant damage to the infrastructure.”

Witnesses added that Israeli military bulldozers destroyed main streets, dug up water and sewage networks, uprooted electricity poles, demolished homes and destroyed vehicles.

Anadolu Agency correspondent quoted witnesses as saying that Red Crescent crews entered Nour Shams camp accompanied by a group of residents.

Nour Shams camp witnessed raids, house bombings, arrests and field investigations throughout the past two days.

On Wednesday morning, the Israeli army stormed the cities of Tulkarm, Jenin, and the Far’a refugee camp near Tubas in the largest military operation since 2002.

On Thursday morning, the Israeli army withdrew from the Far’a camp after a 30-hour military operation.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that “the number of martyrs in the northern West Bank since dawn on Wednesday has risen to 16.”

The Palestinian factions also announced, in separate statements, that their fighters had engaged in clashes with the Israeli army, “achieving direct hits.”

In conjunction with its war on Gaza since October 7, the Israeli army escalated its attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, killing 670 Palestinians, including 150 children, injuring more than 5,400, and arresting more than 10,000.

With full American support, Israel waged a war on Gaza that resulted in more than 134,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of dozens, in one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.
