Suspected blood – The New South Tyrolean Daily Newspaper

Media from Germany and Austria are jumping on the Terenten case.

“Schuhplattler (24) beheaded with a chainsaw. Bloody drama on a mountain pasture in South Tyrol.” And: “Suspected murder in South Tyrol. Schuhplattler boss beheaded with a chainsaw.” These are the headlines on the online page of the German “Bild” newspaper about the case from Terenten, which has been occupying the local media for almost two weeks.

Now press outlets from Austria and Germany are jumping on the case of the mysterious death of Aaron Engl on August 18th.

The “ORF”, the “Kronen Zeitung” and the “Frankfurter Rundschau” also report on the case from South Tyrol. Their reports are based primarily on online articles from South Tyrolean media, and therefore do not contain any of their own research into the mysterious death. For example, “Bild” reports the discovery of a “blood-soaked” body, which is obviously pure speculation, especially since the investigators covered the dead man’s body with gold foil. The only things that can be seen in the Carabinieri photos are white sneakers and jeans – with no blood stains.

Some reporters from the media mentioned above have expressed their surprise that the local investigators have released so little information about the spectacular case and have therefore expressed the suspicion: “They are groping in the dark.” (tom)
