British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has confirmed his intention to take new measures to combat smoking, which according to the press include a ban on smoking on restaurant terraces and outside football stadiums.

Starmer confirmed last July that he would adopt the very ambitious anti-smoking policy implemented by his predecessor Rishi Sunak. According to this project, it will no longer be legal to sell cigarettes to young people under the age of 15.

The Sun newspaper indicated that the government also wants to ban smoking in a number of public places. According to this project, smoking will not be allowed in pub gardens, on restaurant terraces, around nightclubs and football stadiums, on sidewalks near universities and hospitals, in some public parks, and so on.
