Before Alain Delon’s funeral, his sons Anthony and Alain-Fabien greet fans in Douchy

Alain Delon’s two sons went to meet fans in front of the star’s property in Douchy this Saturday, August 24, a few hours before his funeral, scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

A few hours before Alain Delon’s funeral, scheduled for this Saturday afternoon in private, the actor’s two sons, Anthony and Alain-Fabien, came to meet fans in front of the star’s property in Douchy (Loiret), according to AFP journalists on site.

Around 1:20 p.m., Anthony and Alain-Fabien went down to pay their respects in front of the gates of the estate, where hundreds of people had filed in to lay flowers and sign condolence books since the announcement of the actor’s death on Sunday.

“He is here, he sees us”

For a few minutes, they spoke with some of the people present, most of them very moved, to thank them for their presence and their support. “Thank you very much. He is here, he sees us,” said Anthony Delon.

Others were able to approach them and give them words. “You are a wonderful family” or “we support you”, could be heard for example. The two sons left together, to the applause of about thirty people present.

“I am very moved to have been able to see them, it compensates in a way for not being able to attend the ceremony,” said Nicole, who came from Yvelines for the occasion. “I cried!”

The funeral of the sacred monster of French cinema, which is due to begin at 4 p.m., will take place behind closed doors and in the presence of around fifty carefully selected people.
