MAG assistance arrives in Guayaibí to improve production and income

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) continues to deliver agricultural implements and fertilizers to producers in different parts of the country. This Monday, the benefit reached workers in the district of Guayaibí, department of San Pedro, in order to improve their production and therefore, have more money in their pockets.

During the event, the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Giménez, highlighted the potential of Guayaibí and, above all, he valued all its people who work hard every day. He indicated that the district is known for being a major exporter of pineapple and banana, “recognized for its quality and which allows it to conquer large markets,” he stressed.

He said that disputes between authorities over political issues have a negative impact on the population, and therefore called for dialogue to generate benefits for citizens. “That is what we need and for assistance to reach the people who really need it,” he added.

He stressed that the aforementioned district located in the department of San Pedro grows day by day thanks to its hardworking people who fight for a better future for their families. “We are delivering products in a diversified manner according to their needs so that they can improve the performance of their production,” he said.

The Secretary of State confirmed the MAG’s commitment to ensure that pineapples and bananas can conquer more markets and that the money that goes to families contributes to their growth. “That is what the Government is looking for,” he said.

He also invited producers to take advantage of the assistance provided by the State so that they can have money in their pockets and thus boost the local and national economy.

“We are touring the country and providing assistance to all departments so that all Paraguayans have higher incomes and feel proud to be producers,” he said.

He said that the assistance provided to date amounts to almost 500 million guaraníes. With this, “we seek the well-being of our people, through the deliveries made by the Ministry so that every Paraguayan man and woman can live better,” he said.
