A virtual workshop on financial education was held for almost 900 people from the rural sector

On August 22, RENATRE and the Banco de la Nación Argentina (BNA) held the last of three virtual sessions of the “Financial Education Workshop”, through which 374 rural workers who are receiving unemployment benefits were trained. The rest of the meetings were held on August 6 and 15.

During the three days, which also had the participation of 522 people via streaming, topics were covered related to: advantages of banking and financial inclusion; personal financial management; digital banking (the bank on your cell phone); electronic payment methods; security recommendations, and tips to avoid being a victim of scams (phishing), among others.

Adrian Luna Vazquezpresident of RENATRE indicated: “This type of virtual training facilitates workers’ access to new financial technologies so that they can use them in the best way and at the same time improve the management of their family finances.”.

For its part, Jose Voytencodirector of the Registry, said that “We were able to bring together workers from different parts of the country, thanks to the efforts of our provincial delegations; in fact, it was a federal training course that allows rural workers to better manage their finances with new technological tools.”

The workers who participated in the workshop, given by BNA personnel from the province of Mendoza, were invited by the provincial delegations of RENATRE on a personalized basis. During the workshop, their high level of interest was evident as they were able to interact and answer questions and queries.

It should be noted that this course will be recorded in the training history of workers at RENATRE and that they will be able to download their certificate through the RENATRE WhatsApp Bot: +54 9 11 2279-0400.

RENATRE continues to design training strategies, within the framework of the training plan, to promote access to employment and provide useful tools for rural workers.
