THE Jakarta General Elections Commission (KPU) has not received confirmation regarding the registration schedule for the Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana pair. In fact, both have received tickets to register as an independent pair after their support requirements were declared to have met the requirements.
“There has been no confirmation. What is certain is that the confirmation will be on the last day, later we will check again at the secretariat,” said the Head of the DKI Jakarta KPU, Wahyu Dinata, at his office, Wednesday (28/8).
It is known that the registration stage for candidates for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada has started since Tuesday (27/8) and will close tomorrow, Thursday (29/8) until 23.59 WIB. On the second day, the DKI Jakarta KPU received registration from the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno and Ridwan Kamil-Siswono pairs.
The determination of Dharma-Kun’s support requirements as a registration ticket has been carried out by the DKI Jakarta KPU since Monday (19/8). The pair managed to collect 677,065 supports from DKI Jakarta residents to get a nomination ticket.
The figure is higher than the minimum support requirement for independent gubernatorial and vice gubernatorial candidates for Jakarta, which is 618,968 people. However, the collection of Dharma-Kun support requirements was marred by allegations of impersonation of Jakarta residents’ ID cards.
