Sosnovy Bor, as one of the cities where the NPP is present, will receive a grant from the Ministry of Construction to create modern public spaces. This became possible thanks to the victory in the IX All-Russian competition of projects for the organization of the urban environment.
In Sosnovy Bor, according to the project, a ceremonial square will appear on the territory of the Belye Peski Park, where the highlight will be a monument to Peter and Fevronia, the patron saints of the family hearth and love. A photo zone will also be equipped in the public space, retaining walls, pedestrian paths and light sources will be updated. The project is planned to be implemented by the end of 2026.
“Sosnovy Bor is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities in the region, and it gets better every year. Thanks to winning the competition, in 2025 we will begin transforming another public area – the city park “White Sands”. I thank the citizens for their active participation in the vote to select the territory for improvement!” – said the head of the Sosnovy Bor urban district Mikhail Voronkov.
When reviewing the projects, the quality of architectural and planning solutions, the preservation of the historical, cultural and natural environment, and the use of environmentally friendly materials in construction were taken into account.
