24 killed as passenger bus falls into deep ditch in Azad Kashmir – Pakistan

In Azad Kashmir, 24 people were killed and one seriously injured when a passenger bus fell into a deep ditch.

According to Deputy Commissioner Palindri Umar Farooq, the passenger bus coming from Rawalpindi to Rawalakot, in which more than 25 passengers were on board, went out of control due to high speed near Azad Patan bridge and fell into a deep ditch, which caused this heartbreaking incident. .

As a result of the accident, 24 people lost their lives and more than 3 passengers were injured, who were shifted to a local hospital.

According to Deputy Commissioner Palindri, the rescue operation has been completed, so far 20 bodies have been removed, other bodies are being removed while one seriously injured person was also removed whose condition is critical.

The deceased belong to different areas of Palindri, most of whom were travelers coming to Azad Patan for an Urs.

Deputy Commissioner Sidhanuti reached the spot and is supervising the relief operations. According to the administration, the accident occurred due to a technical fault.
