Awareness of industry players and stakeholders regarding the implementation Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is very important. On that basis, Olahkarsa collaborated with the Indonesia Corporate Secretary Association (ICSA) to hold the Corporate Sustainability Outlook 2024 with the theme Transforming Future with ESG Revolution.
“This activity is a forum for sharing insights and strategies in realizing a more sustainable future through the implementation of ESG,” said Olahkarsa CEO Unggul Ananta in a written statement, Friday (23/8).
He said the realization of the event was also proof that awareness and commitment to implementing ESG was getting stronger among industry players.
“We are proud to be a contributing part and will continue to encourage the comprehensive implementation of ESG for a better future,” he said.
Head of Corporate Secretary & Sustainability PT Bank Permata Katharine Grace, who also serves as the General Chair of the Indonesia Corporate Secretary Association, said that sustainable development has become a global trend. Many countries are increasingly emphasizing the disclosure of environmental, social, and governance initiatives by companies.
“ESG is rapidly becoming a focal point of sustainable development as an investment concept and a standard for corporate assessment. We hope that this event will be beneficial for all participants,” said Katharine.
Professor of the University of Indonesia Rhenald Kasali as keynote speaker on the agenda it was also stated that Corporate Sustainability Outlook 2024 will be a forum for various parties to better understand ESG developments.
The agenda consists of various activities that provide inspiration for all guests present, such as Sustainability Leadership Forum and Sustainable Business Exhibitionas well as the launch of the Indonesia ESG Outlook Report 2024, a collaboration between Olahkarsa and ICSA in providing the latest reports and information on the implementation of ESG practices in the Indonesian business sector.
