The YouTube app is reportedly getting the ability to share a timecoded link, allowing you to jump to a specific spot in the video. This feature has been around on desktop for years, but it hasn’t been available on mobile.
The feature is now in the share menu of the YouTube app, 9to5Google reports. Not everyone seems to have the feature yet. The toggle to include a timecode is located at the top right of the share menu and is off by default, but can be enabled for sharing. The link will then contain a ‘t=” parameter, just like on desktop. It is unknown when all users will have this feature. It is unclear whether the feature also works on iOS.
