To avoid any misunderstanding, he has then announced that he has ordered the withdrawal of his name from the relevant ballots. However, it seems that Kennedy will have to overcome new obstacles in this one too, as is evident from the legal objections already offered on this matter by a Democratic-led Michigan. His name will instead remain on the ballots in all those states where the outcome in favor of one side or the other is more than certain, and where his candidacy will therefore be irrelevant. According to Kennedy, any other choice of his would have ended up handing the election to the Democrats. Until now, Kennedy’s candidacy had been deemed capable of damaging both candidates, since he is part of a real Democratic dynasty and his support for anti-establishment views is shared by some Republican factions.
