Rescue 1122 spokesperson in Rawalpindi Mohammad Usman Gujjar told Independent Arood that the tragic accident took place near Girari bridge on Kahota road in Kahota tehsil of Rawalpindi, where the coaster (minibus) fell into a deep ditch.
He said that 25 people lost their lives in the accident, whose bodies have been removed from the ditch while one person is seriously injured.
Usman Gujar said that six women, 15 men and one child are among the dead.
He said that apart from Rescue 1122, some private ambulances and local people were also present at the accident site, who picked up the accident victims and took them to the hospital.
Rescue 1122 brought only 22 bodies to the hospital. The remaining three bodies were already in the hospital.

According to Usman Gujjar, rescue personnel from Tehsil Kahota, Kallar Syedan and Rawalpindi are participating in the rescue operation.
He said that more than 25 rescue 1122 personnel and 12 emergency services vehicles are being used at the accident site.
