Speaking to Independent Urdu, Asadullah Ansari said something about Beatboxing (Ridam) as follows: ‘It is 2021, 2013. One day I was watching YouTube and I saw a video on which it was written Beatboxing. I thought it would be a video about boxing.
‘When I saw the video, there was a man holding a microphone and making sounds of various musical instruments from his throat. I was surprised to hear this. I watched more of his videos and found a video on how to learn kickboxing. Apart from this, there was a boy living in our neighborhood who was an expert on it.’
According to Asad, ‘If you master the basic drums, it becomes easier for you to beatbox and then you can turn any music into beatboxing.’
Asadullah Ansari is a final year student of Mass Communication Department at University of Sindh, Jamshoro.
Asad has shown his skills in many programs related to beatboxing.
He has performed his art not only in Hyderabad but also in Karachi and other cities of Sindh.
