Tom Avni reunites with the cast of “The Jungle Book”

Tom Avni, who played Mowgli for the first time in 1996 in “The Jungle Book”, came tonight (Wednesday) to watch the re-production of the successful musical at the Mishkan for the Performing Arts, and met with the members of the original cast who star in it.

Behind the scenes, where the director of the musical Hanoch Rosen was also seen, there was excitement on the part of the cast members, including Tovia Tzafir and Shashi Keshet, with whom the 38-year-old Avni played 28 years ago, in a role that he is identified with.

In the new version, boys and girls play and alternately play the roles of Mowgli and Banna in the various plays. Tzafir in the role of Blue the bear, Keshet in the role of Bagira the panther, Eli Denkar in the role of Shirkhan the tiger, Avi Yaffe in the role of Pakli the squirrel, Yossi Toledo in the role of Ka the snake and Finny Kidron in the role of the leader of the elephants.

This week, in light of the renewed success, the production announced that due to demand, eight more performances were added at the end of August, on the 28th, 29th and 30th.
