The US presidential election will take place on November 5th. Initially, Joe Biden, the current president, was the Democratic candidate. Due to a lot of pressure from his own party, his age and repeated mistakes, he finally withdrew his candidacy a few weeks ago. This is how Kamala Harris was pushed to the forefront. In fact, she was the one who closed the Democratic convention this Thursday.

For the Republicans, it was former President Donald Trump who was designated during the Republican convention. It took place on July 15.
These conventions, entirely broadcast on television, are also an opportunity for the political party to “expose” the important personalities who support it, such as artists. The presidential election is in about ten weeks. This means that it is the final stretch in the presidential campaigns of Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. During her speech, the Democratic candidate stressed that her election would be an opportunity to ” chart a new path “For the United States, she promised to create a national union, to create an economy” which allows everyone to succeed “, to defend the rights of Americans, to review the immigration system (foreigners who come to live in the United States) or to support Ukraine. Her speech ended in thunderous applause, with the traditional release of balloons. If elected, Kamala Harris will be the first female president of the United States.
