Creed Humphrey has been given a new four-year contract by the Super Bowl winner. What’s more, the center will receive 72 million dollars for the period, 50 million of which is guaranteed.
This will give him $18 million per year, making him the highest-paid center in the league. Humphrey would have entered the final year of his rookie contract in 2024.
Since the Chiefs selected him in the second round of the 2021 draft, the 25-year-old has been a starter and an important part of the O-line in front of quarterback superstar Patrick Mahomes. Humphrey has been selected to the Pro Bowl the past two years.
“He’s a damn good football player, a really good football player,” said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. “That’s how he started and that’s how he’s continued.” And that’s how he should continue for the next four years.
He has already won two Super Bowls with the Chiefs. This season, the Chiefs want to make history and become the first team in NFL history to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy three times in a row.
