Even before their last match against Venezuela, head coach Romana Ptachkova’s players were already assured of qualifying from the group. The South Korean team’s victory over Mali has already determined the outcome of the game, and they can also lose to the South American team. Despite this, the Czechs did not let the game go.

Even though the duel was delayed, the delegates were not disappointed. The opening whistle for the match between the Czech players and Venezuela was sounded after thirty minutes as the Marley player collapsed in the previous game and was waiting for an ambulance. The longer pause seemed to have an impact on both units.

After the Czech team failed to attack three times, the Venezuelan women’s football team took the lead, but the scores increased alternately in the opening minutes, and both teams achieved good results. The opponent even missed the first shot in the 4th minute, and the Czech opponent’s shooting success rate began to weaken thereafter. Despite this, the scoring was high in ten minutes of play, and incredibly they scored 49 points.

The Czech team entered the second quarter with an 11-point lead and established its dominance. They extended their lead before halftime, allowing Venezuela only six points, and headed back to the locker room with a comfortable twenty-two points.

In the second half, opponents were already looking for the secret to Czech’s precise defense. The Czechs defended, attacked and forced Venezuela into mistakes, and the game was clearly under their control.

Romany Ptáčková’s team recorded its third win in Mexico. All 12 players on the Czech bench participated in the game and they all contributed to the victory through shooting. In the last quarter, the Czech Republic can slow down and conserve energy.

The Czech team advanced to first place in Group A. The South Korean team will advance to the semi-finals of this tournament. The Czech team will play in the semifinals from Saturday to Sunday night. But they must wait for their opponents. They will be the team to lose in the Mexico-Montenegro game tonight.
